That is a competent product and we will not pretend otherwise. But read what it tells a Cambodian: five offers, one sport badge, and nothing about the currency your balance is denominated in, the bank that moves the money, or whether any of it exists in ភាសាខ្មែរ. A homepage describes what an operator wants to sell, not the account you end up holding. That part is decided in configuration, and configuration is the rest of this page.

Whether dark or light suits you is taste, not a feature. What is not taste is the screen it lands on. Cambodian mobile traffic clusters hard at 414x896 — a quarter of it, at 25.55% — with 360x800 second at 14.32%, and Apple leads handsets at 44.49% ahead of Oppo on 21.8% and Samsung on 8.5%. Chrome takes 74.13% of Cambodian browsing across all devices, Safari 14.72%. And the detail that surprises people who assume this is a mobile-only market: desktop still accounts for 59.05% of Cambodian web traffic against mobile's 39.98%. Test both books on the machine you will actually use at eleven at night, not on the one in your hand in a shop.
The account a homepage cannot show you
Our official Cambodian domain is www.bk8khr.com, and its bare root redirects to /km-kh/home — the Khmer path, not an English one. That is the shortest honest answer to whether the Cambodian build exists: the default is Khmer, and the Khmer homepage renders fully in Khmer script rather than being an English page behind a flag switcher. Two rows deserve a sentence. Verification: a Cambodian account needs a phone and an email confirmed and nothing more — we do not gate KHUSD behind the birthdate or bank checks some of our other currencies carry, though Sumsub identity checking is switched on for the currency. And the clock: Cambodia keeps Indochina Time all year with no daylight saving, our Cambodia locale is set to GMT+7, so a kick-off on your slip is already the time your phone shows. The rails, and the one rule that breaks deposits
Cambodia is 83.4% dollarised by broad money as of the end of 2025, and the retail convention is still 4,000 riel to the dollar with riel handed back as change. A dollar balance is not an inconvenience here — it is what most households already keep. What matters is the rail underneath it. Three bank codes are configured for our KHUSD deposits, and around them sits the infrastructure everyone in Phnom Penh already uses: KHQR, the single national QR standard, with Bakong running beneath it and 63 member institutions on the network, from ABA and ACLEDA to Wing and TrueMoney.
Now the rule that costs people an evening: cross-currency transfers are not allowed on these rails. The transfer currency and the account currency must match, and there is no in-app FX on a Bakong transfer. Fund a dollar balance from a dollar account. If you hold riel only, convert before you send rather than during — ACLEDA's board rate on 10 September 2026 was 4,048 buy and 4,062 sell, so the true rate sits a little above the 4,000 you use at the market.
