BK8 on iPhone and iPad in Cambodia
Cambodia is far more of an Apple market than the region assumes, and iOS gets its own install path — not an Android file under a different name. Here is what to tap, what you will be asked for, and how to fund a dollar balance from the phone in your hand.
An APK is an Android file, so a BK8 APK for iOS does not exist
Type bk8 apk ios into Google from a phone in Phnom Penh and you will find pages promising an iPhone APK. None of them can deliver one. APK is the Android package format; an iPhone will not open the file, and no profile, shortcut or sideloading trick changes that. The split shows up inside our own platform configuration: for the SABA sportsbook app, the Android package is served from a BK8 host, while the iOS build sits off-domain on myappdownload.com. Same product, two distribution routes, because the two operating systems were never going to share one. What an iPhone in Cambodia actually needs is our mobile site saved to the home screen — full screen, session kept, updated the moment we ship. An APK will never install on iOS, so any page offering you a BK8 APK for iPhone is either confused or is not us. The iOS route is Safari, the home screen and a verified account — nothing pulled out of a forum thread.
Putting BK8 on your iPhone home screen
- Open Safari and go to www.bk8khr.com, our operator domain for Cambodia. The bare root sends you to the Khmer locale at /km-kh/home, and the language menu carries English, ភាសាខ្មែរ, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese.
- Tap the Share button in the Safari toolbar, then scroll down the sheet and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Keep the label short — BK8 fits under the icon without truncating — and tap Add.

The other half of that picture is that desktop still carries 59.05% of all Cambodian traffic against mobile's 39.98%. People here are not phone-only; they move between a laptop at the office and an iPhone on a moto. That is why the account travels rather than the device — one login, one wallet balance, one verification, whichever screen you pick up. One constraint catches people out more than any other: cross-currency transfers are not allowed on these rails. The transfer currency must match the account currency, and there is no in-app FX on a Bakong transfer. Because your balance here is USD, send dollars. Verification, and why the phone makes it easier
Verification on an iPhone is faster than on a desktop, because the documents are already in your camera. Cambodian accounts are configured to require phone and email verification; birthdate and bank verification are switched on for other currencies, not for the Cambodian dollar code. Identity checks run through Sumsub, which we enable on both Cambodian currency codes. Practically: photograph the ID where the light is even, keep the whole card inside the frame, and register with the number attached to the SIM in the phone you are holding — the code arrives in seconds and you are not copying it across devices.
