Three different searches end up on the same word
Casino in Phnom Penh is not one question. It is somebody working out whether an evening on a floor is worth the trip across the city everyone here just writes as ភ្នំពេញ ។ It is somebody typing NagaWorld, because in this city that name has drifted into being the generic word for casino the way people say ABA when they mean a transfer. And it is somebody in Boeung Keng Kang who has decided the traffic is not worth it and wants the game in their hand. We run the third one, and we do not describe rooms we do not operate.
The legal architecture is worth understanding first, because it explains the shape of everything else on this page. Land-based venues here are licensed under the Law on the Management of Commercial Gambling, promulgated in 2020, with the Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia as the regulator. The practical difference between a floor and a phone here is cash. Getting money into your hand here still means an ATM run, and Cambodian ATM fees are among the least fun numbers in the region: roughly 4 to 10 US dollars per withdrawal depending on the bank, with ABA commonly cited at the upper end around 6 to 10 and ACLEDA, Canadia and CPBank commonly cited around 5. One rule catches more people than any other: cross-currency transfers are not allowed on these rails. Why your balance reads in dollars and not riel
This is the question we get most from new Phnom Penh accounts, and the answer is structural rather than stylistic. The weeks this city stops, and the clock it keeps
Anyone planning a betting or playing week here should plan around the Khmer calendar rather than through it. Pchum Ben is a public holiday on 10 to 12 October 2026, the closing days of a fifteen-day religious festival during which Cambodians pay respects to deceased relatives going back seven generations. The Water Festival, Bon Om Touk, falls on 23 to 25 November 2026 and pulls the other way: several million people converge on Phnom Penh along the Tonle Sap River, with the Royal Boat Race on the first of the three days. Khmer New Year — three days, 14 to 16 April in 2026 — is the most significant festival on the calendar. The one thing that never moves is the clock. Cambodia keeps Indochina Time, UTC+7, all year with no daylight saving, and our Cambodian locale is set to GMT+7, so a kick-off time on the board is the time on your phone.
