Pragmatic Play builds the games; we run them. Six of its slots sit in our Cambodian lobby under BK8's own name, each with the RTP printed on the tile — and the tile is the only number that describes the build you are actually spinning.
The studio, and what a B2B supplier actually is
Pragmatic Play was established in Gibraltar in 2015, is headquartered there, and is led by chief executive Julian Jarvis. It is a B2B supplier rather than an operator: it builds slots and live casino content and licenses them through a single API to sites like ours. Nobody deposits with Pragmatic Play. Six Pragmatic tiles carry our own name
Open our Pragmatic Play page on the Cambodian site and the games are not labelled the way they are anywhere else. Six of them run as BK8-branded reskins: BK8 Gates Of Olympus at an RTP of 97.6, BK8 Starlight Princess at 97.6, BK8 Sweet Blaster at 97.6, BK8 Moonlight Princess 1000 at 97.6, BK8 Gates Of Olympus 1000 at 96.5 and BK8 Sugar Rush at 96.5. The asset codes sitting in the page markup — vs20bk8olympx, vs20bk8gates, vs20bk8sugar, vs20bkmoonx, vs20starbk8, vs20fruitsbk8 — are Pragmatic Play slot codes with our name spliced through them; vs20bkmoonx is the one behind BK8 Moonlight Princess 1000. The engine underneath is the studio's. The artwork, the title and the configuration are ours.
A reskin is not a different game and it is not a worse one. It is the same Pragmatic Play mathematics running a build we selected, wearing our name. What changes between builds is the return, which is exactly why the figure sits on the face of the tile instead of inside a paytable. Four of these six read 97.6 and two read 96.5 — more than a full percentage point between two Olympus tiles sitting in the same grid, one row apart. Both numbers are visible before you press anything in the Pragmatic Play lobby.

Why the same game shows more than one RTP
Gates of Olympus is supplied in multiple operator-selectable RTP configurations. Pragmatic Play publishes 96.50% on its own game page. Slot databases report lower versions in circulation — 95.51%, plus a third value one of them gives inconsistently as 94.05% and 94.5%. So an unqualified 96.50% copied off a review site does not necessarily describe the version anybody is playing, on our site or on anyone else's. This is not a scandal and it is not hidden; it is how the studio ships the title. The only honest response is to publish the figure for the build actually running, which is what the tile does. We print RTP on the game tiles themselves — in the Top Games row alongside the provider name and a New or Hot badge, and in the main grid alongside the game name. It appears on game and provider pages rather than on the homepage. Two Olympus tiles sit in our Pragmatic lobby at 97.6 and 96.5, and they do not return the same amount.
Where a number is not printed, treat it as unknown rather than assuming the studio figure applies. That habit is worth more than any list of high-RTP slots, because a published return is a long-run average across millions of spins — it describes the machine, not your next hour on it. A percentage point of RTP is a rounding error next to how long you sit there and what you stake. It is still the only comparable number a slot gives you, so read it, then stop treating it as a forecast.
Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza, side by side
Two Pragmatic titles do most of the work in Cambodia, and they are not one slot in two colour schemes. Both are 6x5 grids that pay anywhere on the screen rather than along fixed lines, and both were built around multiplier symbols. Almost everything else differs, starting with pace. Sweet Bonanza went into release in late June 2019 — Pragmatic Play's own site gives 25 June, one database gives the 27th — and Gates of Olympus followed on 25 February 2021. Years on, these are still the two names Cambodian players type.

The two rows that matter sit right next to each other. A 50% hit frequency means Sweet Bonanza pays something on roughly every second spin; 28.82% means Gates of Olympus makes you wait through dry ones. Then look at the ceilings and the relationship inverts — 21,175x against 5,000x, with the bigger cap on the game that pays more often. Use 21,175x specifically: other sources report 21,100x, and Pragmatic's own figure is the one to take. Volatility is where the sources stop agreeing
Ask what volatility these games run at and the answer depends on who you ask. Pragmatic Play's own social-casino site labels Gates of Olympus Medium; slot databases rate it High. For Sweet Bonanza the same site says Low, while databases put it between Medium-High and High. Those are not small disagreements — Low against High is the entire scale. We are not going to pick the flattering one and print it as settled, and nobody else should either, because the label is an interpretation of numbers that are already published.

- Agreed on Sweet Bonanza: 96.48% published RTP, a 21,175x cap, a 50% hit frequency, and multiplier symbols of 2x to 100x summed at the end of each tumble sequence.
- Disputed on both: the one-word volatility rating, scored differently by Pragmatic Play's social-casino site and by the slot databases.
- Worth a footnote: Sweet Bonanza's published RTP is 96.48% on pragmaticplay.com and 96.49% on pragmaticplay.fun, while most third-party databases still carry 96.51%.
Put those together and the character of each game is obvious without a label attached. A thin base return with most of the money parked in the feature reads as high volatility to a database and as a medium session to the studio, and both are describing the same slot. What genuinely shapes an evening is the hit frequency, the multiplier design and the stake you picked — and only the last of the three is yours to set.

Two studios on our shelf publish RTP, and this is one
Across the ten headline slots we cover, only Pragmatic Play and PG SOFT publish a theoretical RTP for their own games. JILI publishes none — not on its game pages, not in its own player JavaScript — so the 97% figure attached to JILI titles across affiliate blogs has no provider standing behind it. That is the practical reason these two studios take up most of the shelf here: you can actually compare them. PG SOFT splits each of its returns into a main-game share and a feature share. Pragmatic Play sets hit frequency next to its returns instead. Two different disclosures, both more useful than a star rating.
Ceilings across the wider shelf put Pragmatic's two in proportion. Mahjong Ways 2 and Lucky Neko from PG SOFT both advertise 100,000x, Mahjong Ways 25,000x, Sweet Bonanza 21,175x, Super Ace and Money Coming 10,000x on JILI's own figures, Gates of Olympus 5,000x, Fortune Tiger 2,500x, Golden Empire and Boxing King 2,000x, and Fortune Gems 375x at the floor. Before reading that as a ranking: PG SOFT ran a one-billion-spin simulation on Mahjong Ways and the largest result recorded was 2,893x against a 25,000x cap. An advertised maximum describes the edge of what the mathematics permits, not what a session produces.
Slots from Pragmatic, and what we run everywhere else
Pragmatic Play supplies slots and live casino through one API, which is a real convenience for an operator and tells a player very little. What matters is what sits on our floor. Your balance runs in US dollars. That is how the platform is built rather than a preference on our side: the two internal currency codes for Cambodia, KHUSD and KHEUR, resolve to USD and EUR, the string KHR appears nowhere in the platform configuration, and the registration config restricts the Cambodia region to a single currency, USD.
